Reparations
National organizations like National African American Reparations Commission (NAARC), National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America (N’COBRA), American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS), and international organizations such as The Caribbean Reparation Commission (CARICOM), advocate for reparations from the United States government for its discriminatory legislation of slavery, Jim Crow, redlining, and the criminal justice system.
They join in support for the House Bill 40 “Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act”, which for the first time in its 30-year history has reached the House Floor for a formal vote (as of April 17, 2021). You can support this policy through action steps, such as writing to your US House Representative.
Recently, NAARC has commissioned a group, Fund for Reparations Now!, to collect direct reparations from individuals and gain support for reparations from white Americans.
